Building Envelope Improvement
What is it?
Invest in energy-efficient building envelope improvements and earn incentives for a wide range of upgrades at your facility.
How does it work?
There are two components of this program:
- Reduce solar heat gain through windows with solar window film installation. Incentive: $1 per square foot of glass area covered (up to $55 per room).
- Fortify walls and ceilings with new insulation that meets our energy efficiency standards to earn even more incentives ($0.05 per square foot of ceiling area covered and $0.20 per square foot of wall area insulated by the customer).
How do I participate?
To participate, please follow these steps:
- Mail or fax your project proposal to Tampa Electric. Once your proposal is received, a Tampa Electric representative will schedule an on-site visit for pre-inspection.
- After the pre-inspection is complete, download and submit the solar window film and insulation application to Tampa Electric. Once your application is received, a Tampa Electric representative will schedule an on-site post-inspection.
- Tampa Electric will process the rebate check after the inspection is complete and all program guidelines are met. Please allow 4 weeks to process your rebate check.
