Save energy and help reduce your energy costs by ensuring that your commercial heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment is operating at optimal efficiency.
This program will help existing commercial and industrial customers reduce demand and energy usage. A pre-verification is required by a licensed HVAC contractor that participates in the program. You can apply for the HVAC Maintenance Program rebate once every six years. All work must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor that participates in the program and be in accordance with program specifications. View a list of licensed contractors that participate in the program. Only dedicated electric HVAC systems are eligible for the rebate.
The rebate amount will be $25 per ton of air conditioning.
Do any restrictions apply?
When scheduling a maintenance appointment with a licensed contractor that participates in the program, verify that the work they will be performing includes the items listed above. The contractor will submit an HVAC Maintenance program form that must be signed by both the business owner/manager and the contractor.
Please note: Tampa Electric requires the licensed contractor to deduct the rebate amount from the customer's invoice. Once this is complete, the rebate will be paid directly to the contractor.
